| Description |
'The Orange Box' delivers five innovative action games from
the
creators of the blockbuster 'Half Life' franchise, in one box. The Box
includes: 'Half Life 2: Episode Two', 'Portal' and 'Team Fortress 2' in
addition to full versions of award-winning 'Half Life 2' and 'Half Life
2: Episode One' for an engrossing first-person action experience.
All new games in The Orange Box are:
'Half Life 2: Episode Two' – the
second chapter in Valve's award-winning trilogy, taking gamers beyond
the walls of City 17 for the first time.
'Portal' – A groundbreaking new
kind of action game that will
forever change the way gamers interact with their environment, much
like Half Life 2's gravity gun rewrote the rules for how gamers
manipulate in-game objects and use physics.
'Team Fortress 2' – The
long-awaited return of the legendary
king of role-based online multiplayer games, 'Team Fortress 2' pushes
the Source Engine to new heights with a daring new art style and deep
multiplayer gameplay for nine distinct roles.
Features:
- 5 Games, One Box - 'The Orange
Box' is the ultimate
collection of innovative action games for the PC or console, and an
amazing introduction to the Half Life series for console gamers.
- Epic Storyline - 'Half Life 2: Episode
Two' takes
gamers deeper into one of the best-known stories in gaming, following
the desperate struggle of Gordon Freeman against the mysterious
Combine. In this episode, gamers will leave the confines of City 17 for
the first time.
- Redefining Action - 'Portal' delivers an
innovative new action gaming experience. Arming players with a portal
gun allowing them to create portals from one location to another with
the press of a button, 'Portal' will forever change the way that gamers
interact with their environment.
- World-Class Multiplayer - 'Team Fortress
2' is the
sequel to granddaddy of role-based multiplayer action games. Featuring
nine distinct roles – Heavy, Spy, Scout, Demoman, Engineer,
Medic,
Sniper, Soldier and Pyro – 'Team Fortress 2' is one of this
year's most
anticipated multiplayer games for any platform.

Got the game on the day it was released.... Ran home like an excited monkey to install, and mistakely left it to "Self Install"..:( 700 megs later I discovered that I was trying to install all the games via steam and not via the DVD's.
I discovered on the web that it is an issue with the install and you need to start the install on steam, then disconnect, autorun the DVD again and click on re-install, this makes it install from the DVD, but only 98% (Stops people copying the DVD) the other 2% odd comes from steam.
After the install completes I will not play the game without installing the updates.... at this time I reach my cap so have had to wait till the 1st of the month to continue the update.
All I can say is that its worth ever tuft of hair that I pulled out in frustration over the steam thing... Team Fortress is the wickedist game I have played in a long time, and I feel that I am going to spend countless hours online with this one.
Please dont give this games as a gift to someone without internet access, unless of course you hate them!!

You also actually get HL2 Lost Coast and Peggle Extreme with it as well.
The steam updates were tedious but well worth it ;)
HL2 EP2 has got to be one of the best games I played in the Half-Life series, even beating the original. The game brings the Source Engine to life. It's been 3 years since the Source Engines release and still, no games can beats it facial expressions and physics to date...
Portal is very humerous and fun puzzle game. There is honestly nothing bad to say about this game, its brilliant!
TF2 is ultra fun and has you playing hours on end and the cartoony graphics really brings it out.
The new graphics are spectacular, motion blur really bringing in realism :)

I don't have much to say except that this package is just amazing!
5 games, 2 are going to be amazingly popular online (Portal and Team Fortress 2) so if you want to at least get those, this package is worth the price.
Getting this via Steam would be stupid because the download would kill most of our South African caps in no time.
Getting Half-Life 2 and episode 1 & 2 is just a bonus if you ask me.
I would recommend this package to anyone who wanted to try out TF2 & Portal and of cause HL2, Ep1 & Ep2.
